What is Radiesse?

Radiesse belongs to a class of aesthetic treatments known as biostimulators that address collagen loss and deep facial folds. It is formulated with calcium-based microspheres that plump and smooth skin while stimulating your body’s collagen production. As Radiesse is absorbed by your body, it’s replaced with natural collagen, helping minimize wrinkles and restore elasticity on the face and neck.

BodyLase welcomes you to learn more about the benefits of Radiesse dermal fillers.

Quick and Long-Lasting Results

Radiesse is one of the longest-lasting wrinkle fillers. Many clients notice immediate smoothing and improved volume after treatment, with results continuing to improve over the following weeks as collagen production increases.

Results typically last one year or more—in some cases, up to two years—making Radiesse a practical option for those seeking wrinkle reduction without frequent touch-ups.

How Does Radiesse Work?

By supplementing and then boosting your collagen production, Radiesse helps restore skin elasticity, minimizes the appearance of wrinkles, and smooths over other signs of aging. Radiesse dermal fillers are FDA-cleared, non-toxic, and based on naturally occurring calcium hydroxyapatite.

What is Collagen?

Collagen is a protein that provides structure and support to your muscles, bones, and connective tissues, keeping skin firm and resilient. Collagen production naturally slows as we age, leading to wrinkles, sagging, and volume loss.

Collagen’s roles include:

  • Supporting new cell growth by encouraging fibroblast formation in your dermis (middle skin layer)
  • Dead skin cell replacement
  • Providing a protective covering for organs
  • Giving structure, strength, and elasticity to your skin
  • Blood clot support

Radiesse not only adds immediate volume but also stimulates your body’s collagen production for continued improvement over time.

Radiesse Areas

In the hands of BodyLase’s experienced providers, Radiesse can address multiple areas of concern while maintaining your natural movement and expression.

Mouth Lines

Deep smile lines, also known as nasolabial folds, can create a shadowed or tired appearance. Radiesse helps soften these folds by restoring volume beneath the skin.

Lines at the corners of the mouth, called oral commissures, may create a downturned look. Treatment in this area can subtly improve facial balance.

Marionette lines beneath the mouth can give the impression that you’re scowling, even if you’re not. Radiesse smooths these lines and restores support to the lower face.

Jawline

Loss of jawline definition can occur gradually with age. Radiesse can help improve moderate-to-severe jawline contour loss in adults aged 21 and older. The result is enhanced, natural-looking facial definition.

Cheeks

Hollow cheeks are a common sign of collagen loss and volume depletion. Radiesse augments hollow areas and restores facial volume that may have diminished over time. Improved cheek structure can also provide subtle lift and balance to surrounding features.

Chin

Lines beneath the mouth and chin can create the appearance of tension or a persistent frown. Radiesse smooths this area while supporting overall lower facial harmony.

Hands

Radiesse is FDA-cleared for hand rejuvenation and can restore lost volume, minimizing the appearance of prominent veins and tendons. The result is smoother-looking hands that better reflect the vitality you feel.

Who is Most Suited for Radiesse?

Biostimulators like Radiesse replenish your body’s collagen supply, which naturally starts to diminish after age 30. Radiesse is appropriate for both men and women who are beginning to notice moderate-to-severe wrinkles, deeper folds, or volume loss.

Signs and symptoms of collagen loss include:

  • Skin that’s wrinkled, crepey, or sagging
  • Hollowing in and around your eyes and face
  • Shrinking, weakening muscles and muscle aches

If you’re unsure whether Radiesse is the right wrinkle filler for your goals, request a personalized assessment to discuss your concerns and treatment options with an experienced BodyLase provider. During your consultation, we will evaluate your skin structure, facial anatomy, and aesthetic goals to determine if Radiesse is the best fit.
