Before the Treatment
You’ll receive a complimentary consultation with a BodyLase team member to discuss any questions you have about lip filler. We will also review your aesthetic goals, medical history, and current medications to create a treatment plan tailored to your needs.
During the Treatment
To ensure your comfort, your BodyLase provider will cleanse your skin and apply a topical numbing cream to the lips and surrounding area. Your provider will then begin injections, placing filler in targeted zones in and around the lips to achieve your desired shape and volume.
It’s common to experience a small amount of bleeding after each injection. Your injector will cleanse the area before continuing injections. Once injections are complete, your provider may massage the area to ensure even distribution.
The number of lip injections will vary depending on your needs and desired results, though most clients need only one syringe. Your provider will guide you on the right amount based on your lip goals.

You’ll notice fuller, more defined lips immediately after your appointment. Mild swelling, bruising, or tenderness is normal and usually subsides within 24-48 hours. Final results appear as the filler settles and swelling subsides – usually within two weeks.
Post-Treatment Care
To ensure optimal healing and long-lasting results, follow these aftercare recommendations:
- Consider Arnica tablets if you experience bruising – they may help reduce discoloration and speed up healing.
- Do not schedule important events for at least two weeks post-treatment to allow any swelling or bruising to subside.
- Sleep with your head elevated for the first two nights; avoid sleeping on your stomach or side.
- Skip intense exercise for 24-48 hours after your treatment.
- Avoid saunas, steam rooms, and hot tubs for 48 hours.
- Refrain from applying makeup or skincare products to the treated area for at least 12 hours.
