BodyLase, a MedSpa with locations in Cary and Raleigh has chosen The Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA) of Wake County as their featured charity for 2018. The SPCA cares for lost or unwanted pets and offers them for adoption to the general public.
“The mission of the SPCA is to transform the lives of pets and people through protection, care, education, and adoption.”
The SPCA of Wake County is a local, independent, non-profit organization that receives no government funding or tax dollars. They rely entirely on private donations to fund their operating budget. In addition to sheltering animals, The SPCA of Wake County also offers affordable spay and neutering serves through the Saving Lives Spay/Neuter Clinic located next to the adoption center. Spay and neutering keep pet populations under control, so fewer animals end up in shelters.
To support this great organization, throughout the year BodyLase will be raising money and collecting pet supplies for the cats, dogs, rabbits and guinea pigs that are in the animal shelter. Employees will participate in SPCA fundraising events such as the K9-3K Dog Walk & Woofstock (May) and the Fur Ball Gala Event (October 14). For more information on sponsored events see the SPCA of Wake County website.
