Fast Results
Unlike electrolysis, which treats each hair individually, laser hair

How Does it Work?
The laser diode
emits a light of a specific color (wavelength) that is absorbed by the
pigment in your hair follicles. The laser pulses for a fraction of a second,
just long enough to vaporize the pigment in the follicles. This process
eliminates, or significantly impedes, the hair’s regrowth.
About Hair Growth
There are three distinct phases to hair growth (see below). These phases
occur at different times in different hair follicles. Treatment is most
effective during the anagan phase of active growth, when the highest concentration
of pigment is present, and is somewhat less effective during the other
two phases. For this reason, effective removal can require several visits.
The Growth Phases of Hair
- Hair's active growth phase is called anagen. During anagen,
the hair contains an abundance of melanin, the pigment which gives your
hair its color. This is the phase during which laser hair removal is
most effective.
- The regression phase, called catagen, is when the lower part
of the hair stops growing but is not shed, and the follicle is reabsorbed.
- The resting phase is called telogen. During this phase, the
old hair falls out in preparation for the development of new hair.
